Free In-Home Water Test
Chances are you use water every day and drink it at least as often. At Culligan, we think it's important to know what’s in your water at home and at the office. Testing the makeup of your water, from hardness to pH balance to contaminants, is the first step to assuring it’s fresh and delicious every day.
How does water testing work?
A standard Culligan home water test is free, and as simple as scheduling a visit from your Culligan Man.
- We’ll take a sample of your water and test it right in your kitchen.
- While results vary, this process typically takes 10 minutes or less.
- Once the test is complete, we’ll interpret the results with you and discuss options for addressing any water issues identified.
Water Testing Options
Dissolved solids, particulates, and other issues that can cause problem water don’t always manifest in obvious ways. That’s why it’s important to make a habit of checking your water quality regularly.
Home Water Testing
Wherever you are, there’s a local Culligan Man available to test your water, for free, today. Whatever the reason, whether it’s laundry stains, odors, or unpleasant tastes from your tap, a water test from Culligan can identify the cause and help your Culligan Man find the right solution for your home’s water.
Basic Water Test
Culligan’s basic water test is free and typically takes less than 10 minutes to conduct. The test identifies common problem water causes, and your Culligan Man can use the results to recommend the right water treatment system for your water supply.
Lab Water Test
A Culligan lab test evaluates water quality for harder-to-identify water issues. Based on the results of a basic water test, your Culligan Man will be able to determine if a laboratory test is necessary. Your Culligan Man will then send out your water sample to our EPA-certified lab for in-depth analytical testing, and the results will be returned within three days when your Culligan Man will discuss results and recommendations with you.
Why should I test my water?
Dissolved solids, heavy metals, and other impurities can cause odors or odd tastes in your water that can be problematic in your home and, in some circumstances, even impact your health. Problem water may cause laundry to feel scratchy, spotty or cloudy dishes, limescale build up on fixtures, even wear on plumbing and appliances, which translates into higher maintenance and energy costs for your home or office. Since water quality varies between areas, Culligan offers targeted levels of water testing based on local water conditions and requirements.
